It's rare you come across a vintage book dedicated just to Easter ideas. Christmas and other special occasions yes, Easter not so much. So we have to celebrate Charlotte Adams who really takes this one to town! She goes wild with crocheted gifts in this ambitious book as well (amazingly complex) but I focused on a sampling of the recipes for this look inside.
The "rustic chic" cover (of my copy).
One suspects when one sees a crown roast filled with something and a coconut-bedecked cake that one might be in the mid-fifties.
Who could resist a creamy cheese mold?
Yay, lamb cake! Here's a recipe for Seven-Minute frosting from Martha. Charlotte assumes that's just one of those things everybody knows how to make because I couldn't find it anywhere else in the book!
A few party ideas. I am a PUSHOVER for Liptauer Cheese. Don't knock it till you've tried it!
More on Charlotte. Happy Easter! 🐣
